What I Really Hate Is ..

when I’m booked on something for a certain day, and I can’t or should I say I won’t, try to book anything else … because my word is law to me. I know a lot of people in the industry don’t always keep their word, but keeping my word in important to me.
Sooo, the reason I’m venting on this issue is .. and I assume you’ve already figured it out, but here goes.

I gave my word to “Lovelace” that I would be available for this Friday, because they didn’t get to the scene I was supposed to be featured in last Saturday.
So, keeping my word, I let a ton of jobs go by without submitting for them, because most of them, if not all, wanted more than one day of shooting .. And, I sure you’ve also guessed that Friday was among the days they needed in there multiple day shooting schedule.
Ouch, that hurts when you have to let multiple days of work get away.

And .. I guess you don’t have to be clairvoyant to know what’s coming next .. I don’t know why I’m bothering to finish this story, but .. Low and behold … this Friday’s shoot day was moved to next Monday…. and now I have NO work scheduled for the rest of this week.
I realize that the shooting schedules get behind a lot, in this industry .. I mean, I’ve been on so many sets .. so I understand why, but I just hate it when it happens.

Although, on the Up side “Lovelace” is a SAG gig for me, so I get paid more. That softens the blow just a bit.

Oh well, I still feel it’s more important to keep my word.
Who know’s, maybe I’ll get something tomorrow for Friday and maybe, just maybe it will be SAG too!
OK, one can dream .. lol

I was sooo busy last week, I basically had only 4 hours sleep a night, so needless to say I just couldn’t Blog.

Here is my catch up or recap Blog from last week.
Monday to Wednesday “Wedding Band” October Feast goer.
I actually Made my outfit for that I’ll put up a Picture Later, after the show airs
Thursday “Harry’s Law” Formal .
and Friday “Hart of Dixie”

And now for the Bookings I know of for next week …

Monday ” Body Of Proof ”

Tuesday Interview – Fitting for the Sag Movie ” Lovelace “
and Saturday Filming … Yes, That Lovelace.
I am supposed to be Featured in that Movie of Her life.
Don’t know much yet. But I will be working on it Saturday.
I assume I’ll be the Old Lady that disapproves .. just guessing… cause I doubt they want my for anything else, if you know what I mean.
It’s another period piece .. sooo .. I guess I’d better get out the Curlers again.

And I have a few more commercials that I’m being submitted for and I’m just waiting to hear back on them .. Crossing my fingers I get at least one of them.

Oh Yea .. And I just got my first IMDB credit for the Movie “5 Minutes” I played Detective Anne.
I plan on attending the first screening next month. I can’t wait to see it!!

I’m Booked 4 Days so far this week!!
I’m on “Wedding Band” Monday, Tuesday and Maybe Wednesday!
Then I’m Booked on “Harry’s Law” for Thursday.
And I such a workaholic, I even applied for a SAG Commercial for Friday.
Haven’t heard back on that one, yet. I swear, if there is work out and I hear about it .. I go for it… I just can’t help it , I’m Hooked on Work .. I wonder if the Betty Ford center can cure me !!

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year. May all your dreams come true.
I’m happy that I’m already booked, SAG on “Mad Men” this week, so I’ll be going back in time to the 1960′s. I hope it’s a sign of things to come for this New Year … More bookings as SAG. Cross your finger for me, because that would be my Dream come true!

Guess who I Stood in for …

My first Stand In job was for Betty White of all people. She was Awesome!!
I stood in for her on a ESPN Monday Night Football Commercial. I aired last Monday 12-26-11.
I can’t believe I got to meet the legion herself. She was the nicest person you’d ever want to meet. When it was all over she even shook my hand and said Thank You.

I felt so guilty getting paid to do it, cause I was having so much fun, I felt as if I should have paid to do it.

The other nice part about it is , the production company that filmed the commercial called the casting company that hired me and told him I did a great job and then he called me and told me, that whenever he needs a stand in for Betty White again … He’ll call me!!
He said he had already done 3 for her that month, so I hope to get a few more from him as well. I can’t wait … What a treat, to be able to work with Betty White again!! She’s sharp as a tack and extremely Funny!

Heading In To Hiatus .. Again!

But, I’m Booked on “Touch” for Monday.
Ya know, the best thing about my job is all of the Great people I’ve met on the Sets. I’ve made several good friends and had a tons of laughs.
I know it will slow way down very soon and I’ll miss not see my friends. I know I’ll be seeing them in person again soon, but for now I’ll have to be happy to see them on Facebook and keep in touch by e-mail and phone.

I just wanted to wish everyone A Merry Chrismas!!

As of 12-7-11, I am officially a member of SAG
(Screen Actor Guild )
And I just booked my first official SAG Job on
“Men In Black -3″
I play the Pearl Lady. They told me the Director Loved Me .. I assume from my Picture they though I would be good for the part. They also that the Black Actor, I assume they meant Will Smith, will come up and speak to me. I am just walking on air right now .
The only thing that could go wrong, is if I end up on the cutting room floor. But even so, I’ll be happy I got the chance to do it at all and that I finally got my SAG !!!
