I know, but they can be sooo maddening. It makes you wonder what you've done wrong and or worry that you won't lose any more. I know I'm only 7 months out and I'm sure time will tell, but living through it is something else. I'm now as small as I was just after I had my baby... that's over 30 year ago, so I'm happy to be down .... But I want it all ;-)

And You ... 7 Years, Wow! How much did you lose and have you kept all of it off?
Thanks for replying ... I'm sure you know how much it really helps to hear from other people in the same boat, so to speak ;-)
TTYS,

Thank You ! And may I say WOW, Good job on your weight lost too!!!
Are you where you want to be or are you still trying to lose a few more?
If you are sill trying to lose more, is it harder now that you lost so much or
is it easier because your are now in a healthy new eating & I assume, a good excerise rutine?
I love to learn from those who have gone before me, so if you have any tips you can give me I would love to know.
TTYS,
Suzy

Surgery date 09/10/09 300lbs. Weight to date 175lbs. I wish you nothing but the best. This is not an easy journey. I live one day at a time. I cannot focus on tomorrow because today is what is in front of me.

Hi,
One week to go ... Good for You ... I know how you feel. It is a bit scary, changing everything you've ever known. And I do mean everything! I still have some food issues. It's just to weird to figure out what make what happen, so I stopped trying to figure it out and just roll with the punches. Otherwise it would drive me insane.
I'm glad you like my blog. I had hoped it may help in some small way, all those that follow me in to that bazaar Gastric by-pass world. Sometimes the food roulette does get a bit overwhelming, but keeping your eye on the ultimate prize, and we both know what that is ....and a positive attitude will defiantly help ;-)
Let me know how your doing from time to time. I really would like to know.
Big Hugs to you,
Suzy

Your blog has been fun to read. I am pre-op and having my RNY surgery in exactly one week (July22). I'm excited, nervous, anxious, a bit scared...you name it. I know I will be fine though. Positive thoughts and that mental picture of myself at 140lbs keep me going. I just get really nervous about the food part and having to learn how to eat all over again. I will continue to follow your blog because its always nice to read the experiences of other people who have gone through the same thing.

Hi,
Great! I wish you well on your surgery & I hope you'll lose all that you desire as quick as you can.

I have to admit I was nervous the night before my surgery too. but it wasn't as bad as what I dreamed the night before my surgery. As a matter of fact, the surgery was a piece of cake up against that dream ... lol
I promise, you'll get through it just fine. The nerves fad to second place when you think of all that you will be getting after the surgery. It's almost as if you will be in a hurry for the hospital staff to get all the prep work done so you can get in and get it done. Hopefully, you've studied up on all the changes that you have to make, diet, exercise, supplements ... ect. so you'll know what you have to do and be ready for them.
I you haven't already read my blog from the beginning, you should. There is a ton of info in there on lots of subjects that will be helpful. Please let me know how you are doing, as soon as you can after your surgery and keep me posted on all the new and exciting changes to come. And believe me, there will be lots of new and exciting changes ahead.
Big Hugs to you,
Suzy

My surgery is this Monday, the day after tomorrow! Very excited but very nervous about what to expect.

Any advice or personal stories of how you felt right before surgery and during the first two weeks would be very appreciated :)
